One platform, three surfaces

Field crew records on iPhone or Android. Desk engineer analyzes in the portal. Client gets a report they can defend. Everything syncs itself in between.

Mobile app

Collect on the phone

Drive the corridor and tap START. Driver-glance header, auto-direction reversal, Quick Collect, keep-awake, and offline-first sync — the data is right before you get back to the office.

Web portal

Analyze in the workbench

Time-Space Diagram, Speed/Distance plot, travel-time distribution with PTI/BTI/LOTTR, delay breakdown, platoon arrival, and a confidence panel that tells you when you've driven enough runs.

Reports

Deliver defensible reports

Before/after PDF with executive summary, Welch's t-test significance, reliability KPIs, and economic impact — plus multi-sheet Excel and four CSV variants. Watermark-aware trial mode for previews.

Capabilities

Everything in the box

From the pulsing START button to the multi-tenant plumbing that keeps studies from getting lost.

Mobile

iPhone or Android, no dedicated hardware

Pulsing mint START button, driver-glance header, auto-direction-reversal, and offline-first sync. The driver never takes eyes off traffic.

  • Auto-detects U-turns and starts the paired-direction run
  • Quick Collect mode for new corridors with zero pre-config
  • Keep-awake during recording — phone won't sleep mid-run
  • Auto-sync after every run, plus a tappable badge to retry
Workbench

Analysis surface engineers actually trust

Time-Space Diagram with median + percentile bands. Speed/Distance plot. Travel-Time Distribution histogram with PTI, BTI, LOTTR.

  • Delay Breakdown stacked by moving / stopped-queue delay
  • Platoon Arrival per signal (HCM Arrival Type 1–6)
  • Confidence panel with Z-based sample-size calculator
  • Auto length-validator rejects runs that didn't drive the corridor
Reports

Defensible client deliverables

Before/After PDF report with executive summary, Welch's t-test significance, reliability KPIs, economic impact, methodology.

  • PDF, Excel (.xlsx) multi-sheet, and four CSV variants
  • Watermark-aware trial mode for prospect-side previews
  • Engineer / client / prepared-by metadata on the cover
  • Dollar figures convert engineering metrics into client-fundable language
Plumbing

The boring stuff that saves the study

Three-phase post-sync pipeline runs on every push: segment analysis → time-period classification → length validation. Each in its own transaction.

  • 8-table relational schema with soft deletes
  • Bidirectional dirty tracking — nothing silently lost
  • JWT auth, role-based access, multi-tenant org separation
  • UTDF timing-plan upload with effective_from / effective_to dating
How it works

From run to client report in three steps

01

Drive the corridor

Open the app, tap START. The driver-glance header tracks elapsed time, signals passed, GPS accuracy. Auto-reversal handles the return leg.

02

Sync to the portal

Park, and the run uploads itself. The desk engineer sees it in real time in the portal — no USB sticks, no email.

03

Export the report

Workbench computes reliability, platoon arrival, economic impact. One click yields a branded PDF, Excel, or CSV the client can defend.

Methodology

Standards your client recognizes

No black-box scores. Every number traces to a published method.

Industry-standard speed bands

Speed-banded GPS dots and a 13-metric segment table — the visual conventions traffic engineers already trust on signal-timing study reports.

FHWA reliability

PTI = p95/p50, BTI = (p95−p50)/p50, LOTTR = p80/p50. LOTTR ≤ 1.5 maps to the 23 CFR 490 reliable-segment threshold.

HCM Arrival Type

Per-signal AT 1–6 from Rp = (1 − stop rate) ÷ (g/C). Date-aware UTDF plan match — BEFORE and AFTER studies pick the right plan automatically.

Economic impact

USDOT BCA value-of-time, EPA Social Cost of Carbon, CalTrans ICF criteria-pollutant rates, NCHRP cost-per-stop. Editable per organization.
